Have you ever wished
That life would be easy?
that no troubles existed,
That they would melt like lemon drops?
Well, I have.
Have you ever had a bad day
It was so horrible,
You wish you could crawl into a hole
And forgot it all happened?
Well, I have.
Have you ever had someone
That you thought was too good for you,
And helped you through all of it,
Holding your hand and whispering soothing words?
Well, I haven’t.
I have books.
I have words.
I have poetry.
Their words are soothing,
Their words are relaxing.
They help me forget the horrid day,
And let me sink into my wonderland.
